Their owner came out to meet us. Their estimates were competitive, they were clear in their communications, punctual, and overall a pleasure with which to do business. There were no omissions or bad surprises! Our yard after 2 visits looks tremendous.

Sod Installation & Lawn Repair
Sod installation, lawn repair, and soil prep for thin, damaged, or bare turf on residential and commercial properties across Brunswick, New Hanover, and Pender Counties.

New sod fails when the ground isn't ready. We prep the soil — grading, amendment, compaction correction — before anything goes down, then match the grass variety to the site's sun exposure and soil type. We repair patches, replace full lawns, and restore bare areas left behind by construction or drainage work. Sod is installed in the correct seasonal window for coastal North Carolina so it establishes before the next stress period hits.
Common questions
Can you just repair the bare spots, or does the whole lawn have to be replaced?
Sometimes spot repair is enough. We look at why the grass died first — drainage, shade, compaction, foot traffic — because new sod laid into the same conditions meets the same conditions. If the thin and bare areas run across the whole lawn, or the soil underneath is the real issue, we will say so rather than patch over it. We would rather walk the property with you and show you what we are seeing.
What kind of grass holds up in sandy coastal soil?
Warm-season grasses are what get grown along the North Carolina coast, since they take the heat and humidity here. Which variety fits your lot depends on the site — full sun or shade, how much foot traffic the lawn takes, and how long water sits in the low spots after heavy rain. Call (919) 685-2701 and we can look at the property and talk through the options with you.
Do you install sod on new-construction homes?
Yes. We work on builder job sites and on newly built lots. Construction leaves soil compacted and graded to move water away from the building rather than to grow grass, so soil prep and grading are a large part of that work. Call the office at (919) 637-1803 to set up a time to look at the site.
